Artists of all ages are encouraged to participate in “Clock “Chalk,” a new Swiss Days event to be held on Competition Alley.

“Clock Chalk” is a new Swiss Days competition open to all ages. “Clock Chalk” will take place on Friday afternoon at 2 pm on Competition Alley. Artists who would like to demonstrate their chalk drawing skills are encouraged to create a drawing of the Muensterberg Clocktower. Each participant will be assigned to one section of sidewalk on either side of Sprunger Street starting at Main Street and, as needed, moving towards Water Street. Three pieces of sidewalk chalk will be provided to the first 20 artists or you may bring your own chalk.

The competition will include the following age groups—Pre K, K-Grade 2, Grades 3-6, Grades 7-12 and Post High School. One winner will be selected in the two youngest groups and each will receive $5 in Swiss Bucks. All other participants in those two age groups will receive a coupon for a cookie courtesy of Alpine Rose Coffee Shop. First and second place winners will be selected in the Grade 3-6, Grade 7-12 and Post High School groups. First place in each group will receive $10 in Swiss Bucks and second place will receive $5 in Swiss Bucks.

No registration is necessary. Chalk artists should look for the “Clock Chalk” table at the corner of Main and Sprunger Streets following the FFA Kid’s Pedal Pull.
